Survival Enhanced runs 8-Man tribes, but not every player wants to fill all eight slots — and smaller tribes shouldn’t simply lose to bigger ones by default. The Underdog Rate Boost automatically strengthens rates for solo players and small tribes, scaling down smoothly as tribe size increases toward the 8-man cap.
Going solo? You don’t get the base 3x harvest rate — you get approximately 7.8×. It’s not a flat solo bonus; it’s a fully engineered curve across every major system.
What Scales
- XP — experience gain from all sources
- Harvest — resource gathering rate
- Taming — taming speed
- Breeding — maturation and egg hatch speed. Faster growth means fewer cuddles needed for a full imprint. You must be in a tribe to receive breeding multipliers, even if it’s a solo tribe.
- Mating — mating speed. Smaller tribes also get a shorter mating cooldown and a longer imprint grace window, and lose imprint quality more slowly if they miss one.
- Combat — damage dealt versus damage taken, for both players and tames. Turret damage matches the damage-dealt bonus.
See the full scaling table on the Rates page for exact multipliers at every tribe size.

Weekend Rates Stack on Top
Weekend rates (Friday 5 PM – Sunday 11 PM) apply on top of your tribe-size bonus, not instead of it. A solo player during a weekend gets both boosts simultaneously — see Rates & Settings for the current weekend multipliers.
Why it works this way: solos and small tribes keep pace without being steamrolled by full 8-man tribes, while larger tribes still benefit from the coordination and firepower advantages that come with more players. Nobody is locked out of meaningful progression just because they don’t have seven friends online.
