What NPP Does

NPP is purely defensive — it protects your character, tames, and structures from being raided or killed while it’s active. It doesn’t boost your rates on its own, though the Underdog Rate Boost stacks on top of it automatically if you’re in a small tribe.

The purpose of NPP is simple: give new players enough breathing room to build a real base, tame some dinos, and learn the cluster before they’re exposed to normal PvP.

Checking Your Protection Status

/pvestatus self

/checkpve

Look directly at a structure to check whether it’s currently protected.

Ending Protection Early

Some players choose to end NPP early — for example, to start raiding before their 14 days are up. This requires two steps:

/pveoff /pveoff confirm
Warning: once NPP is manually disabled, it cannot be restored. Only turn it off if you’re certain you’re ready for full PvP exposure.
